Resident grateful to Connection
I just finished reading through the latest issue of Connection. As a resident of League City, I am really grateful to have you writing these stories about the workings of city government. One particularly eye-opening piece was your review of the new waste contract being awarded to a company with a dubious-at-best record of past performance. And another really useful story was the plain-English explanation of what has transpired with our Magnolia Creek PID overcharging — as an affected party, all I’ve really received in the mail over the last couple of years has been legal gobbledygook, but yours was the clearest review I’ve seen.
It’s been frequently said that 2017 may have been a great year for national journalism, but your work on exposing the less glamorous nuts and bolts of local government fits in perfectly with that idea. Keep up the great work, and keep the pressure on!
