Clear Creek Independent School District board of trustees announced that Trent Martin is the 2017 Citizen of the Year for volunteer service and advocacy efforts.
Martin has served as president of the Gilmore Elementary School PTA and has held booster club leadership positions at Clear Springs High School, the school district said.
He also was on district-level committees. He was on the Citizens Financial Advisory Committee for seven years, and he also served on three school boundary advisory committees and two facility advisory committees, the school district said.
Martin is vice president of Business Integra Technology Solutions Inc. He previously served as NASA’s associate director of Engineering for Advanced Development. He is the father of a Clear Springs High School graduate, a Clear Springs High School junior and Creekside Intermediate School student.
The Clear Creek Education Foundation Gala honored Martin as the Citizen of the Year Nov. 4 at South Shore Harbour Resort and Conference Center, 2500 South Shore Blvd., League City.
